ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY – Teaser Trailer

Are you one of those primitive dial-up internet cave dwellers that catch glimpses of the 21st Century 2kbs at a time? Do you deliberately keep away from the pop culture rabble everytime they come frollicking into town with news of trailers and early previews? You know what Star Wars is at least, right?

If you answered yes to one, or all of the questions above then I bring glad tidings. There’s a teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

For those wondering why there’s a new Star Wars film already, this is not Episode VIII. Rogue One is the first of the announced Star Wars anothology series, hence the subtitle A Star Wars Story. What do we think? Incredible.

The working synopsis places Rogue One in the Star Wars epoch before A New Hope (Episode IV). Following Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) on her mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the same plans that Princess Leia stows in R2-D2 at the beginning of Episode IV. For an enamoured Star Wars fan this trailer almost reaches the same levels of excitement as The Force Awakens did.

Any questions? Take them to Twitter, although be careful not to get lost in the hilarity of #RougeOne which managed to trend alongside #RogueOne when the trailer was released.

~ May the Force be with you ~

        1. After a little digging I’m not really sure where I found that art now? But it is pretty darn cool. The trailer is brilliant, perfectly paced, great character intros/teases and the moment the siren kicks in a I get goosebumps. The AT AT part is great

  1. (sings): “I was taken by sur-priiiiise – by a pair of rouge-ish (heh) eyes…”

Damn excited kids and their misspellings. Still, that trailer was pretty nifty. I do love that some of the more confused rants about “WTF? ANOTHER DEATH STAR?!” are from folks who have not a clue that this is a prequel to Episode IV and not the Empire *not* learning that obvious lesson about the meaning of the word insanity…
